Accumulation Distribution - Tradestation formula

Postby srniko » Tue Oct 26, 2010 4:27 pm

Here is the AD indicator as it is on the Tradestation. I sugest using EMA(20) on a top of AD.
It will fix the result of the Chaikin Oscillator as well.

The formula is:
(close - open) / (high - low) * volume;

Thank you for this version!

Can you make this indicator function as an overlay behind the price instead of having its own section underneath the price chart? I find it easier to read/interpret as an overlay. Thanks in advance.

I agree with Jerry. I use the Accum/Distrib indicator in another software and it is always BEST used as an overlay. I personally use the Williams A/D indicator overlaying the Williams %R and as a unit, they work extremely well together when comparing against price!!! Price action is what FX is all about, supply/demand theory controls price.
