I hope time can be found Apprentice.

With FXCMs new spread/commissions price structure, renko bar scalping is now a viable strategy. We just require the Tick feed strategy either on renko or mean renko

"We just require the Tick feed strategy either on renko or mean renko"

Correction, actually on the Renko, not the mean renko

Hope you can find the time.

there seems to be a bug with all renko views and indicators except the tick renko that
bricks do not update in real time eventough price surpasses the predefined pip setting.
can anyone confirm this please?

You have to understand Mean Renko Bars View dynamics.
Open and close value are set at time of opening.
Only High / Low will reflect the actual price movement.
If price goes beyond the set limit, the new bar is generated.

This answer has been posted before.

The reason the bricks do not appear on time on anything other than a Tick view is that the chart is only refreshed at the end of the timeframe interval.

Hence if you are displaying either Renko (no tick available anyway) or Mean Renko at e.g. m1
then the bricks will only be painted at the end of every 1 minute period. Depending on the price movement during the last minute this could well paint a whole bunch of bricks all at once or none at all. Similarly for e.g. H2 period - the chart will only paint the relevant bricks every 2 hours at the beginning of a new 2 hr period open.

Only Mean Renko Tick view will paint the bricks in real time with no delay

Hi Miguelator,

Would you please share the green and red dots indicator. Its looks like the DT-ZigZag-Lauer MQL4.

Thank you in advance,
jennifer
