ZIGZAG indicator parameters

Hi, The default parameters for a ZIGZAG indicator is 12,5,3. Does most of the people follow the same ? or is there a majority opinion on certain other parameters set ? Would appreciate your response.

It depends on the length of the trend you want to detect. These parameters are used in the most forex systems because allows to detect typical forex trends.
Increasing the first (the most important) parameter will increase the length of the trend detected. Two other parameters are for the filtering of short-term fluctuation rather than trend detection.
