dBFX

Postby petropog » Thu Nov 11, 2010 3:55 am

Hi,

I have been using marketscope 2.0 via dBFX retail for some time now. Although
I can see under the strategy tab ---> Test Strategy, it doesn't work, i.e. I get a flat equity line.
Also there are no backtesting properties in view in the system. Is this a restriction by dBFX? or
do I need to download something else.

Hello,

It seems that you get a flat equity line because your strategy is not
allowed to trade.

To allow a strategy to trade when backtesting, you should set the
parameter "Allow trading" to "Yes" for the strategy chosen in the
properties of the BACKTEST indicator.
For this:
1. Open the BACKTEST properties.
2. Click Signal and then click the appeared button.
3. The Strategy Properties dialog will appear.
4. Set the parameter "Allow Trading" to "Yes".
5. Click OK.

Note that there is only one strategy in the standard set which can
trade. It is MA Advisor.

Hope this will help.

And, as far as I know, the latest (101210 release) is not published yet for dbFX, so, please, do not forget to install the autotrading patch.
