This topic is intended as a place where you can post bugs,
that you've noticed during usage of TS2/Markescope platform.

(I suspect there is a problem at the FXCM data server end - but I provide this "heads-up" anyway)

Hello, since the markets opened this week (23rd September), I have been getting "Failed to load chart" error on several studies.

I contacted FXCM via "chat support" and was told that there were some technical issues with some time-frames.

The "Status page" says everything is fine.

Some diagnosis of the problem as I see it...

I have proprietary indicators that load several data-streams either different symbols to the main chart or different time-frames). These are failing now. If I load them separately I can get some to work. If I restrict the data it seems to work.

To my mind it seems that the data server is failing to handle multiple requests for data (or perhaps only handling a small number of simultaneous requests).

Fortunately/unfortunately I can not confirm your experience.
Can you give me more information.
What version of TS are you using?

Have you recently install new version or update your TS?
If so, try to make a complete uninstall / reinstall.

If this does not help, please send one of indicator with which you experiencing problems.

It was a problem at FXCM side - they had some server / data problems it seems. It is fixed now.

A couple of bugs with the latest official version.

1) I have the Trading Station message pop-ups (things like when DailyFX/FXCM webinars are about to start) disabled, but I still get the pop-ups. Maybe it doesn't work - or maybe they are categorised wrongly.

2) I have noticed that sometimes pop-ups get hidden behind the application window. At first it is confusing because I just get the beep from Windows telling me that I can't do anything seen it was busy - but then eventually I found the pop-up (e.g. waiting for me to confirm cancelling an order). I only noticed this since using "owner drawn" indicators - not sure if that's just a coincidence, or somehow ownerdrawn indicators can block pop-ups from coming to the front.

Hi,

I never mentioned this bug before because I thought it would of been fixed by now. When I open up a chart in a smaller timeframe 1m or 2m, sometimes it fails to load this current weeks' data, and I am left with a huge gap of a day, two days, or sometimes a week (usually it's missing from Monday onwards). I think MS is not reading the history files correctly on start-up. Here is a picture, (I am using current version of MS), the candles jump from 18th oct to 23rd oct. The history file on the C drive has all the data as I have been using the chart all week...sometimes it just chooses not to show it.

Hi robocod,

The fixed version will be released in November. Currently I don't know the date of the release.
