historic data req

Postby Bebbspoke » Thu Aug 18, 2016 3:06 pm

Hi Folks; -

I'd like to source (preferably free, of course) bulk historic data OHLC A & B on 1 (one)* minute stamps for several instruments?

*5 (five) minute time stamps would be "acceptable" as alternative but 1m certainly is preferable.

Any suggestions please? Thanks,
Bebbspoke

Hi Bebbspoke,

Please try to use «FXCM History Downloader»:
viewtopic.php?f=36&t=6178&p=14307&hilit=Price+downloader#p14307

It should be useful for you.

Hi Julia; -
Thanks for your suggestion - unfortunately despite several attempts to install it - the app refuses to run...
Cheers, John

Hi John,

I will clarify the additional information, whether we have even more similar program to this and inform you about it in the nearest time.
Regarding difficult running of this program, please contact its author.

Hi Gidien - I tried your suggestion to install the old Order2Go API - the program then did work for a couple of ~ 3 month downloads

Subsequently it now fails all attempts with Flag box quote "Conversion from type "DBNull" to type 'Date@ is not valid...

PLEASE FXCM - when a re we to have access to download accurate historic data? - the Marketscope limit of 15k candles is insufficient for long term analysis on short timeframes...

Thanks,
