Start time EURUSD anomaly?

Hi Folks,

Having commented on weekend data elsewhere in the forum; - http://www.fxcodebase.com/code/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=63786 - it would appear that EURUSD actually trades 24/5 +2 hours

That is Friday Close prices (as stamp 20:55 (for my current time zone)) match Sunday Opens at 19:00 (same time zone)...

Please can someone explain this observation and detail any other Instruments which do not confirm to a genuine 24/5 trading period? Thank you.

Answered the anomaly for myself: - the Forex market actually runs 24/5 +2h...

... has considerable influence when calculating your own indicators!
