New Open - Last Close time difference?

Postby Bebbspoke » Mon Sep 26, 2016 1:15 pm

Hi Peoples; -

Please can someome specify:

1/ The maximum possible time delay between a new live candle Open price stamp and the confirmed Close price of the immediate precedent candle?

&
2/ If the above time delay is dependent on the candle period?

Many thanks,

Hello Bebbspoke,

There is no such a value.
The time delay between prices depends only on market.

Thanks for that Georgiy; - would I be right in assuming that the Close price of a candle is effectively confirmed at the first tick subsequent to the newly Open time stamp? Cheers, Bebbspoke

Bebbspoke,

The price of a candle is defined by "O2GCandleOpenPriceMode mode" parameter in IO2GRequestFactory.fillMarketDataSnapshotRequestTime method.

There are two possible values:
- FirstTick: The constant represents the mode in which a candle Open price is determined by a first tick of the candle.
- PreviousClose: The constant represents the mode in which a candle Open price is determined as a Close price of the previous candle.
