API Connection Issues

Is anyone else having trouble with API Connections to FXCM at the moment?

I'm getting this:

Hello reach4thlasers,

Have you had the trouble with that connection earlier or it worked correctly?

If it worked correctly before, please tell what you changed? Did you change the connections parameters(not login\password) or install the other version of FC?

Hey Georgiy,

I'm getting this issue again today, it resolved itself eventually, but the issue is back. I've tried two demo accounts which both throw this exception:

AsyncForexConnect.Lib.LoginFailedException: Login Failed: HTTP send request failed object='/pdas/servlet?rnd=162375468' errorCode=12029


And a live account which throws this one:

Code: Select all
Failed to start broker connection
AsyncForexConnect.Lib.LoginFailedException: Login Failed: 19915;DAS 19915: ZDas Exception
 ORA-20003: Access denied
ORA-06512: at "G10R1.API", line 443
ORA-06512: at line 1

I can log in via TradingStation but not via API. Weird.

Could you please answer the questions:

1. What version of FC do you use?
2. Does the issue appear after installing a new version of FC or after you change the connection?

I discovered what the issue was... My live account had been downgraded from a Standard Account to a Mini Account as I had not used it in a while. Operations were able to resolve this within 5 minutes via Live Chat - FXCM's support sure is excellent.

The error message could be more helpful for this issue.
