BACKTESTING DILEMMA ... Indicator / Strategy / ????

Postby 7000306337 » Mon Sep 27, 2021 5:20 pm

Hello
Thank you very much in advance for your precious time.

Indicators show TradingCommands applied to charts. But no BackTesting utility. (BackTesting Indicators in SIMULATION_MODE takes hours each test)

Strategies offer BackTesting(in seconds) of TradingCommands. But no charts.
(it is frustrating to duplicate an Indicator into a Strategy just to BackTest it)

Is there a way to get it all?
Charts, TradingCommands and BackTesting?

Again much appreciated.

You can apply indicators to the strategy chart,
and strategies to both Real / Demo and within the simulation mode.

Thank you very much for your precious time.
As always.

Apologies ... I DID NOT GET IT 1st TIME.
Now I get it.

Did not realize how powerful TSII.
For many years I was using it the poor man´s way.
Now I create STRATEGY that uses ANY_INDICATORS.
BackTesting (even optimizing with hundreds of runs) on huge data sets (years) is done in minutes then apply the ANY_INDICATORS on the result chart.
As well as watching every single bar in SIMULATION MODE on a small set of data.

In minutes ... I HAVE IT ALL.
Dilemma no more.
