It could be so when the calculated stop is invalid. For example, the brick is higher than the current price and you do have a long position.

In simulation mode I did the following:
Brick size is 5 on a 1m time frame.
Enter long position at the close of the current brick.
Set my stop at the open of 2 bricks behind my entry.
Enable strategy and as you can see in the picture, the stop didn't move from it's original position.
Also, what does the "Bar back" setting do.

The stop could be calculated only for one side (buy or sell). It just happens that you have a wrong side and Renko stop doesn't fit it.

Do you have a workaround for this problem?

The strategy doesn't give me control to select sides and I've tried both long and short trades and got the same result. I have no idea what a workaround would be, but from my standpoint there seems to be a problem with the code.

I thought it would be as simple as checking to see if a new brick has been drawn and then advance the stop by one brick size (or whatever number of bricks the user selects) in the direction of the current price. The minimum move would be 1 brick.

Logging added, so you will able to see where the stop is moved.
