Ehler's Center of Gravity Heat Map

Postby zekelogan » Sun Jun 13, 2010 12:44 pm

I have an idea that either will be very fun, or a real pain in the rear... :D I'm not sure, since I'm not a programmer ;)

I've included a picture of an example of the color scheme and conditions...

Ideally, the 'heat bars' would be calculated and stacked on top of each other.

The order would be M5, H1, H4, D, W, top to bottom respectively.

The indicator would look the same no matter what timeframe it was added to, since it shows multiple Tf's

Is this possible? Thanks a million :D

Idea is interesting. One note: It cannot be applied at any timeframe. The timeframe must be equal or shorter than the shortest of the timeframe of the indicator or we have to break our heads on how to show, for example, 5-minute data on 1-hour time axis. :-)
I'll put this into the queue, and it won't be long (I hope), at least because here is a good start point: MTF MA direction indicator which does almost the same, but with moving average.

I am a programmer, but am new to Lua. I created a layout with multiple price overlays on one chart and added this heatmap for each of them. I would like to develop a single indicator that would display the heatmaps for different symbols, on one chart.

I noticed that it can really bog things down when you start adding multiple symbols to one chart, does anyone have any suggestions on the most efficient way to do something like this?
