Postby barbs666 » Sun Aug 15, 2010 4:28 am

Gday,

I would love to be able to open multiple indicators (and there settings) on a chart with just one click!

is it possible?? for example I could choose from my indicators list: ema , mva, macd, etc, etc

thanks

New release brings whole range of enhancements and new functionality related to templates and layouts.

They are currently available in Beta version.

Until then you can use Layout functionality.

Ok thanks,

but the problem is that you have to save a layout for every chart.

For example, I have all the indicators set up on a EUR/USD chart and I open a AUD/USD chart and want all the same indicators on that chart, I cant use the layout function because its only for the EUR/USD.

It's a template to do the thing you want to. Right now it is possible as well, but a bit complex because templates are stored in the file. In new version you will just have to click "apply template" on a chart and then choose a template from a convenient (at least I hope so :-)) list.

use "Save Chart" to save the EURUSD chart and then "Open File" which will open a new chart of EURUSD. Then just change the instrument of the new chart to GBPUSD and it will retain all the indicators. (it will lose lines you have drawn, but all the indicators will be there).

Hope this helps. I use this all the time and it isn't too cumbersome.
