Numeric Readout

Postby sho-me-pips » Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:54 am

1. If possible, I would like an indicator that gives just numeric numbers of another indicator (Stoch, RSI, etc...)chosen indicator.

2. This indicator should automatically read to all pairs subscribed to.

3.This indicator should adjust to current time frame.

We are working on the solution to show any indicator applied at any time frame to any time frame :-). Something like universal BF_ indicator. Unfortunately, right now we are on the design stage, so I can't give any estimation.

This is the kind of readout I am looking for. If you are on the one hour chart all figures are for the one hour. If you change to the five minute chart, the numbers change to the five minute.

When it is possible, this would be great for me.

Ah, I see. I understood the task a bit differently. This shall be pretty easy to do as an indicator as well as a separate application.

I think it shall be something like this:
printout.png

printout_indicator.lua
(8.19 KiB) Downloaded 575 times

Please check it and if it is ok, I'll put it to the public.

notes:
1) the indicator catches the subscription in the moment when it's created. If subscription is changed after that - you need to re-apply indicator.

2) To set up the layout use two parameters:
a) number of row (i.e. instruments per column)
b) width factor parameter. The smaller value makes text "tighter", the bigger - "looser". the parameter is proportion of the average width of the character to its height.

3) the indicator updates once a second. Until the next update (i.e. for 1 second) it shows the direction. The ascending candle color is used to increased value and descending candle - for decreasing.

Only one thing would make this any better for me.

If the numbers would auto sort smallest to largest.

Right now they are shown in the same order as indicators show.

It shall not be hard to provide a sort.

Is from left, then down so on, the the bigger is the bigger in the last (rightmost column) good enough?
