Merge two indicators? .csv draw line

Postby Cactus » Fri Mar 31, 2017 2:21 pm

I am mostly referring to this thread
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=64171

Also I requested this some time back actually
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=64066

Any way to draw a line based on time and price with 2 points?
There exist a indicator like that "draw horizontal lines", and the "zigzag channel with output" indicator.

But how about combining them together, let the user make a .csv of the date/price points and indicator would draw the lines (diagonal) ?

Excellent work sir, thank you indeed!

I must say this is very similar to "CSV Lines Helper Tool" which Apprentice had provided in April viewtopic.php?f=17&t=64603 but I believe your version is also great because of how time and style is specified separately in the .csv file and because it uses core.host:execute("drawLine" instead of context:drawLine(

However this is not to discredit him, as he has been very helpful and resolved the request in July and Sept here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=647&start=40

This will still be very useful to me. With each indicator that I download I learn more about programming in lua (I mostly know Python) and so I promise to contribute more to this amazing forum myself in the near future when I've got more free time available. I think we could aim to have one topic with indicators listed in a table of contents format to save time searching. Keep up the great work.

This is a great indicator if you have done your own analysis and know where you want to plot the trendlines.
