Custom Period

Question. Is it possible to program a custom period function in an indicator that is not available by default. For example, in the picture below I have two Smoothed ADXs plotted, one set to the default Daily period and one set to Weekly. I'm wondering, would it be possible to program the indie to calculate based on somewhere in between the Daily and Weekly, for example, three or four days?

1. Use D2,D3...
2. we can write indicator, with source/time frame selector.
