Multiple Entry/Multiple Exit(MEME) Strategy

Postby amazon1a » Wed May 30, 2018 12:15 pm

Hi Apprentice,

I would like to request a new Strategy which should be of considerable interest to members.

Multiple Entry/Multiple Exit(MEME) Strategy

The structure is much like several of your recent Multi position Strategies which I use. However here I want to create an Entry band so that once Price enters the band and hits the mid point, Entry orders would be triggered at and above and below the "anchor". The logic is to participate with near term extensions and pullbacks in price as it oscillates about a chosen level once a clear direction is established.

5 positions to be built about an "anchor" position with 25 pips(Variable) between levels.
2 positions above "anchor" and 2 positions below
It would be nice if position Entry levels could be filled automatically, but if not, manually would be fine.

parameters to be included:

Direction: Buy or Sell

"Anchor" level - Trade 3:
Pip distance between levels(Optional)

Trade 1:
Open trade 1: Yes/No
Entry Level
Lot size

Set Stop for Trade 1 ‘Yes/No’
Stop for Trade 1: 30
Trailing Stop order for Trade 1: ‘Yes/No’
Trailing for Trade 1, in pips 10

Set Limit for Trade 1: Yes/No’
Limit for Trade1, in pips 30

The Trade 1 Logic be repeated for a total of 5 positions

Many thanks as always, AG

Hi again,

I do not know if it is possible to have this Strategy appear only on a local machine - requiring an always on computer or VPS, or if it has to appear on the Server.

My preference would be for privacy, but any which way will work for me.

Thanks, AG

U will have to use your own VPN server.
I'm not sure FXCM have one for TS2.

Hi Apprentice,

Tonite the Strategy did not operate exactly as I had hoped for. I would not like to open any additional trades until the "anchor" trade is opened. The Anchor or Trigger has to be the first trade opened. Thereafter as price wanders inside the Band, other trades will be triggered - perhaps brief Pullbacks or Continuation but no more than 5 in total as you have set it up now.

Tonite the Anchor for GbpJpy was set for 145.75 to Sell anticipating a fall for this pair. Neither this price nor 146.00 were reached, but a trade 1 was triggered at 146.25 when Price pulled back.

I was hoping to avoid this outer band Entry which would have been valid if first 145.75 had been hit, and subsequently 146.00 as well, prior to the entry at 146.25.

Maybe we should modify the trade order so that our current trade 3 becomes trade 1 for the sake of clarity or your programming.

The elements are correct, but I guess what I am looking for is a Contingency type of Strategy.
