Hey Apprentice,
Would you be able to code a strategy based on price to close above/below a linear weighted moving average on several timeframes (x4) to be alerted (show alerts) when all time frames are above or all below
hope you can help thank in advance
Susan

Hi Apprentice, Happy Holidays!!
Seem to be getting alerts when the condition is met the time frame marked Entry Time Frame only and don’t seem to checking if all conditions are met on all 4 time frame either all above or all below. There should not be an entry time frame as such just be alerted when the last time frame out of the four in the strategy conditions are met. Did try change to the highest time frame in the strategy to be used as the entry time frame but didn’t deem to get any alert can you look into
Ps: Use HA as source? What is the need for this as have used yes & no and don’t seem to make a difference can you explain
Thanks
Susan

It does check all 4 timeframes.
Use HA as a source is to use HA as a source for indicators (instead of regular candles).

Hi Apprentice,
Thanks for the explanation on HA
The idea is that you have four time frames all above or below the MA to give a direction and to use for both Trend Continuation or Trend Reversal
Trend Continuation if the highest time frame was already above the MA then we just need the lower time frames to all close above to get alerted every time all 4 time frames close above the ma for a trend continuation for a long set and vice versa for shorts to all 4 time frame close below

Trend Reversal generally would be waiting on the highest time frame to close last then when all 4 time frames are above for or all below for short be alerted

And every time all time frames are in sync keep getting alerts even if it’s the highest timeframe close or a lower time frame close and not to be waiting for the a entry time frame to close to be alerted at the moment seems to be the timeframe marked entry time timeframe when alerts are given generally the highest time frame in the strategy

Seems that the alerts for long is when the conditions are met for short and vice versa can this be corrected on the signal alert pop up
Thanks
Susan

This is exactly how it works.
You can use "live" entry mode to get the alert as soon as possible (in the middle of the bar).
Or set the trading timeframe to the highest timeframe if you need to wait for all timeframes to close

Hi Apprentice
Still have the problem of when price has closed below all MA's on all time frames should be giving signal for short and at the moment its giving a buy signal and when price has closed above all MA's on all time frames should be giving signal for long and at moment getting sell signals
Can this be re coded to give correct signal alerts
Thanks
Susan
