Konstantin

The IndicoreSDK/ConsoleBackTester was a possible solution but I was hoping to rid myself of any dependence on any variety of Windoze :( which is one of the drawbacks of TS2.

My Win8.1 machine is permanently a problem, as is my VPS Win2008 server while my various Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Linux boxes work 24/7 without a hitch!

Maybe WIne is the solution. either the software or liquid versions!

I'm back on this problem now as I really want to ditch Windoze and link my analysis program into my strategy.

I still have a problem with libindicore.python.so not being found but simple strategies appear to run OK.

But when I try to subscribe to an order or trade event so the event can be correctly handled in ExtAsyncOperationFinished, I get (from Prepare) a message saying:

event_provider_not_configured

How do I do that?

Anyone there?

Apart from the events manager issue which I still haven't solved, I have been looking at the Console Optimiser and Backtester in a Linux context:

Console backtester and optimizer are published for Linux 32/64, Mac OS 64 and Windows 32/64

But the instructions are written for a Windows environment only - the programs have type ".exe", directories are back-slashed and options forward slashed.

How do I run the programs under Linux?

I am wondering whether the events issue is due to a pre-wired file structure.

For example if I grep -a event StrategyRunner I get a number of instances of (concatenated) text that contain "/home/jenkins/jenkins" which suggest someone with a username Jenkins is involved!

Do I have to use the ForexConnect API? In which case I may as well recode the strategy anyway or at least strip a lot of stuff out of it and build some modules.... :)

hi there
i appreciate this runner. it is very useful tool. i had wating such tool for a long time.
i hope it cound run all the strategies which are running on the TS platform correctly.
it means the strategies port to runner need no modified.
i am looking forward to the next runner could support all the TS strategies features which would be not restricted by email, write files, multiple load getSyncHistory etc..
thank you so much.

regards, richard
