indicator conversion

Postby shenose » Wed May 03, 2023 5:32 am

Dear fxcodebase,
A good trading friend has suggested that you may be able to help me get a Tradingview indicator converted into lua to be used on the FXCM Marketscope platform.
The Tradingview indicator is called Trendlines with Breaks [LuxAlgo].
I can send you the pinescript code if neccessary.
Many thanks for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Catherina.

Dear codebase team,

Thanks for getting back.

I've tested the indicator and have noticed the following:
The trendlines created by the origional indicator stop at different points depending on the price action.

Unfortunately the Marketscope version creates all the trendlines to be the same length.
Do you think this can be fixed?
Please see the enclosed attachment.

Try it now.
Have added the Trend Continuation option as a bonus.

Hi FXCodeteam,

The indicator is better but could the trendline extend further as I show in the attachment.

Thanks,
Catharina.

Use different "Break Length"
1000 for example.

Hello FXCodeteam,

Unfortunately the indicator is not yet useable for me.
The trendlines are still too short, even when at their max setting of 2000.

I noticed someone else has asked for exactly the same request under development reference 485.

Do you think this is possible? If not, that's ok, i shall just continue using tradingview.
Please see enclosed Attachments.

Thanks a million,
Catharina.
