That's the problem @Victor.
Neither of the indicators I mentioned accesses long/short volumes yet quite a few platforms (not FXCM) do show the relative number of positions being opened. It is the long/short aka ask/bid or buy/sell volumes, determined by the price of the exchange.
This may only be available on the real rather than derivative market although ISTR IG did show the ratio of derivative trades on their platform some years ago.
The actual buy and sell volumes must be the same as each transaction has 2 counter parties but it depends on the open instruction. eg If a long position is opened, that is a buy action where the price is expected to increase and contributes to the buy volume count even though it will generate a sell action from the counter party, which doesn't count. Conversely a short position opened will generate a sell action and contributes to a sell volume but the counter party buy action also does not count.
