Changing Time Zone

Introduction

Trading Station 2 and Marketscope display time fields in the server time zone by default. It means that the time in Open Positions, Orders, and other windows and in Marketscope is displayed in the time zone of the server on which your account is registered. Sometimes you need to view the time in another time zone. The article discusses how to change a time zone for the time fields in Trading Station 2 and Marketscope.

Time Zone in Trading Station 2

Trading Station 2 provides an option that determines how time stamp fields are displayed. The possible values are as follows: UTC, Server, Local, and Financial Time.

UTC means that the time is displayed in the Coordinated Universal Time format.

Server means that the time is displayed in the time zone of the server.

Local means that the time is displayed in the time zone of your computer.

Financial time means that the time is displayed in the time zone where 00:00 represents the beginning of a trading day.

When you change the option value, the time automatically changes in:

  • Simple and Advanced Dealing Rates.
  • Open Positions, Closed Positions, and Orders windows.
  • Actions window.
  • Marketscope.

Also, when you change the option value, the name of a time zone is changed at the bottom of the Trading Station 2 window.

How to Change Time Zone

To change a time zone, do the following:

  1. Open Trading Station 2.
  2. In the System menu, click Options.

  3. In the Options dialog box, click General Trading in the Trading Settings session. On the right, you will see View format of time fields.

  4. Click View format of time fields and choose the proper time format in the combo box.

  5. Click OK to save the settings.
